Palakkad Fort is a historic fort located in Palakkad, Kerala, India. It was built by Sultan Hyder Ali, also known as Tipu Sultan, in 1766 A.D. Locals in Palakkad (PKD) often refer to it as “Tipu Sultan Kotta” or “Kotta Maidanam.”
Currently, it is considered the main tourist attraction in Palakkad and is regarded as the best historical spot in the region. You don’t have to be a historian to visit this site; it’s a place anyone can enjoy. Nowadays, people also visit Kotta Maidan to relax and refresh
