Vadakkanthara Temple
Vadakkanthara Temple, dedicated to Goddess Kannaki, a legendary figure from the Tamil epic Silapathikaram, stands as a unique and revered site in Kerala. The Vadakkanthara Thirupuraikkal Bhagavathy Temple is the only temple in Kerala that celebrates the goddess in her complete idol form. Beyond its religious significance, the temple is renowned for its sprawling design, showcasing the elegance of traditional Kerala architecture.
The temple is open from 4:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM. There is no entry fee to visit the temple. However, if you wish to perform poojas, there is a small charge for offerings like Ardhana, Archana, and others. The charges vary depending on the type of pooja you choose.
